Cardiovascular disease (CVD), diabetes and obesity remain to be one of the biggest health challenges facing Australian society today.
GPs play a critical role in the prevention and management of those patients who have type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease (CVD) or both.
This one-day event is designed to enable GPs to optimally manage patients with CVD and diabetes, with a focus on prevention. The symposium will feature leading Australian researchers and clinicians, who will discuss the latest evidence and therapies, tying it all together with case-based discussion.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions - or feel free to just listen to the answers if that's your preference.
Describe how to screen and manage patients with heart failure.
Describe the approach to reading and reviewing scientific journal articles.
Explain how to screen and manage patients with hyperlipidaemia.
