About this education

This webinar for general practitioners will cover referral pathways for acute chest pain needing urgent referral and for cardiological conditions needing evaluation. Appropriate assessment and management of patients with cardiovascular presentations, including a consideration of red flags in general practice.


Describe the referral pathways for cardiology in both urgent chest pain needing immediate review and in conditions that need assessment and management.

By the end of this activity, you will be able to:


Differentiate between symptomatic vs asymptomatic arterial disease.


List the barriers for GP referring to cardiology


Discuss timing and considerations of referrals and interventions when managing arterial disease.
