Description: This training video, developed by Interplast and consultant anaesthetists at the Northern Hospital (Melbourne, Australia) is designed for anaesthetists and trainees to apply the Vortex approach to safe airway managmenet.
The vortex approach is a framework, or an algorithm, that practitioners can use to safely manage a patient's airway and return them to oxygenation, before the occurance of an airway crisis.

Description: This video will take you through the principles of positioning patients safely for anaesthesia and surgery. There are considerable physiological changes that occur with positioning that can affect patient’s respiratory mechanics, regional perfusion and cardiac output. Understanding this will assist anaesthetic providers to better tailor the delivery of their anaesthesia.
