About this education

This free CPD webinar provides General Practitioners with a practical understanding of the emerging role of pharmacogenomics (PGx) in clinical practice.

Associate Professor Kym Mina, a Genetic Pathologist, introduces the fundamentals of PGx - what it is, how it works, the supporting science, and an overview of current Australian and international clinical guidelines.

GP Dr Stuart Arbuckle then presents two clinical case studies demonstrating the practical application of PGx in mental health. The goal is to improve patient outcomes, enhance compliance, and reduce adverse effects.

This webinar includes an interactive Q&A panel session, where attendees can have their specific questions answered by our expert panelists. You'll come away with the knowledge to begin incorporating PGx testing into everyday practice, offering a more personalised approach to medicine.
